| Mammoth-San Manuel Unified School District is located in San Manuel, Arizona just an hour northeast of Tucson, in the very beautiful and scenic San Pedro River Valley. Our district is a center of a learning community that offers outstanding academic opportunities, competitive interscholastic athletics, enriching afterschool and summer programs, comprehensive community education programs, and courses offered through Central Arizona College-Aravaipa Campus. There are approximately 1250 students enrolled in grades PK-12. Our district is made up of four schools; San Manuel Junior/Senior High School, grades 7-12, First Avenue Elementary, grades PK-3, Avenue B Elementary, grades 4-6, and Mammoth Elementary, grades PK-6. We employ 260 teachers and staff; we are the largest employer in the area. |

| 6. By 2013-2014, all students will reach high standards, at a minimum, attaining proficiency (meets or exceeds
standards) or better in reading/language arts and mathematics. |

| 8. By 2005-2006, all students will be taught by highly qualified teachers. |
| 9. All students will be educated in learning environments that are safe, drug free, and conducive to learning. |
